I am available to join organisations and projects on a freelance consultancy basis.

My areas of experience, expertise, and current availability include:

  • Monitoring and evaluation for arts projects, with expertise in embedded and creative methods.

  • Reporting to funders, both arts and non-arts, including Comic Relief, Arts Council England, and smaller local funders.

  • Impact mapping and knowledge exchange, for arts organisations and university departments.

I am able to make these processes work for you, curating a bespoke approach each time to suit you or your organisational needs.

Monitoring and Evaluation

"Sam worked very closely with us on our latest project leading with monitoring and evaluation. Sam was fantastic to work with offering creative solutions to collecting what can sometimes be monotonous data. His expertise helped to really highlight the positive impact our project had pulling out key information and framing it in its most true light. Sam’s professionalism and expertise really helped to guide the project ensuring that we could remain reflective and adaptable."

Jack Riley - Artistic Director, Barnsley Youth Theatre

Reporting to Funders

"Sam is a diligent, creative and incredibly talented project manager and facilitator. He is a fantastic connector of people, making every partner and participant feel engaged and valued. He is as equally adept at managing and maintaining projects with incredible diligence; including making and implementing incredibly detailed project planning and monitoring materials and writing reports with compelling, sensitive and focussed flair. He is a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend him and his extensive skills set to any arts organisation."

Beth Knight - Director, Archipelago Arts

Impact Mapping and Knowledge Exchange

Previously this has included mapping knowledge exchange activities for the Institute of Childhood and Education at Leeds Trinity University, and recently I have engaged in close analysis of the student led Theatre for Democracy projects at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and an impact mapping exercise of all student led projects delivered through the Applied Theatre and Community Drama BA at LIPA.
